Located on the ground floor underneath
DNA, Castle Lounge opened about 3 months ago. The meticulous
effort that has been put into this stylish, up-market
lounge is evident even from the outside, designed to
look like an actual castle. Upon entering, the decor
is equally impressive. They have managed to create a
perfect blend of comfort, practicality and artistic
style reflecting the theme. With a more intimate ground
floor section and a spacious bar, dining and lounge
area upstairs, there is more than enough space for customers
to enjoy fine imported spirits, wines and regular live
music. The seating is comfortable and can easily be
rearranged to accommodate larger or smaller groups.
Over and above their huge collection
of single malts, triple-refined vodkas and wines that
will please any connoisseur's palate, Castle Lounge
offers a large selection of cocktails, including a great
Long Island Iced Tea (NT$250). Most of the regular imported
beers are available for NT$150 and they have a few draughts
for NT$250. Another impressive feature is their food,
which is satisfying in both its preparation and presentation.
The Duck in Orange Sauce (NT$320) and Fried Chicken
in Sour Sauce (NT$300) comes highly recommended. Customers
should note that there is a well-deserved 10% service
charge added.
The management and staff are friendly
and take obvious pride in their establishment. Due to
their efforts, Castle Lounge is the perfect place for
a more affluent crowd to go and enjoy themselves. You
are not likely to find a rowdy crowd chasing all-you-can-drink
specials here. Rather, Castle Lounge provides a much-needed
setting for informal meetings, classy get-togethers
and even a date with someone special. That having been
said, the atmosphere is far from stiff and any given
evening at Castle Lounge is bound to be an enjoyable
one.
