Established in 1994, Kiss Pub is a traditional
North American style pub. If you're from North America,
the place will give you a really inexpensive trip back
home, complete with foosball, air hockey, a jukebox,
pinball machines and even a projection-screen satellite
TV. If you're not North American, it's the cheapest
way you can get to see what a typical bar there looks
like. The seating is comfortable, offering private booths
with cushioned seats. If booths aren't your thing you
can hang by the bar. Friday is Foreigner and Student
Night where you'll be treated to a one litre draft beer!
Saturday is Ladies Night, where ladies get a free cocktail
and they don't have to pay the minimum charge. The minimum
charge truly is minimal, with NT$200 from Sunday to
Thursday and NT$300 Friday and Saturday. They offer
both Western and Taiwanese food at very reasonable prices.
Try the "create your own" Tacos, where you
get the ingredients and then build your own meal (NT$180).
Snacks will cost you about NT$60. Meals will only set
you back NT$180 to NT$480. The drinks are offered at
more than reasonable prices too. The usual suspects
of bottled beers will cost you anywhere between NT$150
to NT$180. Draft beer on the other hand is really cheap,
with a 1.2 litre pitcher of San Miguel costing only
NT$450! Other sizes of draft are just as reasonably
priced. Cocktails range in price from NT$180 to NT$250,
and include a huge selection. There are also some pretty
good non-alcoholic drinks available. Owner Michael and
his staff are friendly, always offering smiles and good
service. The vibe at Kiss Pub is great and without pretension,
definitely a great place to pass an evening! Just look
out for the huge neon-lit cowgirl waving you over, you
find her, you found the bar.
