With over 1,000 branch stores worldwide, Outback Steakhouse is now in Kaohsiung. Named after a region of Australia, all of the decorations are related to that country. Located on the banks of the Love River, Outback has a comfortable outdoor dining section that can be enjoyed on warm days. Outback has Prime Rib specials from 8 ounces (NT$690) and 11 ounces (NT$840) to 14 ounces (NT$990). These delicious steaks are simmered and roasted for six to seven hours at very specific temperatures at strategic locations in the oven. That way, all of the steaks are cooked evenly and turn out juicy. The meat portions might be a bit too much for some people. If that's the case, then Outback's Filet Steak (6 ounces) is a good choice. Other favorites are Blooming Onion (NT$260), Brisbane Caesar Salad (NT$320) and Alice Springs Chicken (NT$450).
