Drinker Cafe on MingCheng Road is the follow-up to the successful Drinker Cafe on HeTi Road. The chain of cafes is renowned for their stylish timber design and warm, enticing colors. You may already have noticed the logo of a European-looking lass, which was inspired by a lady who used to cook in their kitchen. The cafe offers bagles, salads, ribs, pork legs, pasta and all the usual assortment of tasty teas and coffees - as well as an impressive display of juices and mineral waters. Some of the staff are bilingual and there is an English menu above the ordering section (The English table menu is on its way). It is an interesting combination of an indoor restaurant, where you can sit and enjoy their pasta dishes (NT$100 - NT$150) or a combination of steaks ranging from NT$160 - NT$320, and a take-away section where you can grab a bagle and salad to go as you make that mad cross-city dash. --By Mark Evans, translated by Annie Liu
