Amongst fine dining establishments, few have more of a down-to-earth, love-what-we-do feeling than Me Style Euro-Asia Bistro. Over the past year, owners Mitchel Ramos and Peggy Tsai have created a space where they can offer the people of Kaohsiung the chance to enjoy excellent food and beautiful wines in an unassuming, yet stylish, environment.

With a very impressive chef's resume, Mitchel cooks foods that make your mouth water simply by hearing the names of the dishes. One of their most popular dishes, the Nori-wrapped Aku (an NT$180, delectable dish made with fresh tuna brought directly from the DongGang docks), is comparable with offerings from the world's best eateries. To ensure their customer's satisfaction, Me Style changes their menu every month. There are three price ranges (NT$550, NT$750 and NT$1000), which all include an appetizer, a salad, the main course, dessert and a glass of fine wine (Customers can bring their own wines at a corkage fee of NT$450). The higher the price range, the more intricate the dishes-but rest assured that anything you have at Me Style is bound to be made with immaculate care and served by attentive, friendly staff.

On the last Saturday of every month, Me Style presents a special "wine dinner", where customers have the opportunity to sample some of the impressive wines on offer. As wine connoisseurs themselves, Me Style aims to introduce their customers to "New World Wine" offerings from countries like Argentina, South Africa and Chile, accompanied by a special menu for the occasion. At NT$1500 per person this is a decent offer, and reservations are strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. They also have special menus for most public holidays.
Whether it be for a romantic dinner, or a lunchtime gourmet meal, Me Style is arguably one of the best places Kaohsiung has to offer.
