Starting as a stand in Kenting in 2003, General Pancho's specializes in authentic Mexican food like chicken burritos and quesadillas. They have now opened an outdoor restaurant in Kaohsiung on the corner of FuGuo and MingHua Roads, in front of the Tien Shang Hui Wei Hot Pot restaurant. The new outlet offers a menu of Mexican favorites, which include rolled tacos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, fresh corn chips, burritos, taco salad and more. All of these are available with a choice of chicken, Carne Asada (steak), pork, ground beef, tuna and of course vegetarian, and everything comes with sour cream, homemade salsa, refried beans and guacamole (when in season). General Pancho's is certainly affordable with a large chicken burrito for only NT$90. In fact, the entire menu is priced between NT$50 - NT$130. Their takeout is fast and outdoor seating is available. In Kenting they are located across from the Starbucks.--By Pieter Vorster, translated by Annie Liu
