This restaurant, which opened
just after Christmas and is a stone's throw from Kaohsiung
Medical University and the Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital, serves
dishes associated with Zhejiang Province, that part of coastal
mainland China to the south of Shanghai. Zhejiang cuisine
is not greasy, and stresses fresh, smooth dishes that do not
have strong or sharp smells. It is regarded as one of the
eight great traditions of Chinese cuisine. Crabs, shrimp,
fish, clams, and chicken are on the menu here. The interior
is clean and simple; the tables are round, banquet-style,
with lazy susans. Some of the staff speak English. During
the promotional period, the restaurant is offering a 20 percent
discount on every dish. --By Steven Crook, translated by Cara
