Right across from the Dollar Mall lies an impressive, modern and luxurious steak restaurant, Good Man Cafe. The owner, Mr. Lu, has a long-established first branch on JungShan 1st Road. There the focus is on coffee; at this new branch, there's a much wider choice of dishes. Hot pots are priced NT$400 (NT$480 for a set meal); spaghetti is NT$220 (NT$300 for a complete set). There's an all-you-can-eat buffet from 2 pm to 5 pm, priced NT$180. The medium-sized bar in the back offers all kinds of cocktails, wines and beers. It's frequented by Westerners who live or work nearby. There is also open-air seating featuring Mongolian Barbecue (NT$330; NT$220 for children under the age of 12; free for those shorter than 90cm). Service runs from 5-30 pm to 10 pm. After 10pm, stir-fried dishes are served. The second floor is a steak house; lunch is NT$390, dinner NT$450; a 10-percent service charge is added. Live piano and saxophone music adds good taste to the atmosphere. Recommended dishes include Thick Steak, German Pig Hock, and Sea Grouper.
