has changed - some for the better, some for the worse," sigh
residents of the resort. Traffic cops patrol the streets with cameras;
and Taipei companies have set up shop, pushing prices skyward. Yet,
dining options abound. Mambo is cashing in on the craze for Thai
food, though many dishes are geared towards local taste buds (the
Thai Rice Noodles are served with a mound of sugar for dipping).
Our group opted for seafood, in tribute to the seaside town of Kenting:
Seabass with Sweet Chili (NT$380); Steamed Garoupa in Lemon (NT$280);
Prawn Satay; (NT$220) and Shrimp Cakes (NT$240). Portions were filling.
A discotheque will open soon on the second floor. Until then, Latin
