        Marvelously designed, Wine is a located in a neighborhood full of coffeeshops and restaurants, several of which have a mainly Japanese clientele. Classy inside and out, the interior has a sleek, efficient look. Plush velvet sofas, whose backs reach almost to the well-lit ceiling, have been arranged to form several semi-private areas. Every evening at 12 o'clock there is a live piano performance. There's also karaoke, and the staff are more than willing to sit and chat with the customers. The bar is well stocked with the usual beers and other drinks; prices start at NT$150, with a cover charge of NT$500 per person. Wine has no kitchen, so eat beforehand. Parking around here is not as difficult as it is in many other parts of Tainan. --By Richard Matheson
