Opening in late November, and much larger than either of Ming Chia Mei's long-established downtown stores, the Ming Chia Mei Delicate Life Square will mainly interest ladies between the ages of 15 and 60. However, there's enough variety here to ensure that menfolk don't get too bored. Much of the first floor is given over to cosmetics and hair and skin care products. There are also sections devoted to perfumes and aftershaves, ladies' and children's clothes, ladies' underwear, accessories, home furnishings, detergents and washing powders, kitchenware, stationery, snack foods, candies, and soft drinks--and even motorcycle helmets. Located near the intersections with LinSen Road and BeiYuan Street, Ming Chia Mei has a basement parking lot for cars--a godsend for families, as there are very few parking spaces along KaiYuan Road. --By Steven Crook, translated by Annie Liu
