Oldies
Bartender: Adrian
Drink: Jazz Piano
Oldies
is one of the funkiest places in Taichung city, with
an exhubarent museum-meets-gallery-meets-fleamarket decor
and plenty of live performances. The menu is exciting
and quite diverse, and the shrimp dishes come highly
recommended. In honour of the piano that sits at one
end of Oldies, sauve bartender Adrian introduced us to
the Jazz Piano. While bourbon based, there is no taste
of alcohol in the finished product. The sugared rim of
the glass gives the drink an interesting prickly sweetness,
but it tastes very much like lemonade - a little sweet,
a little sour. The peach and banana flavours are subtle
and add a slighty tropical feel to the drink.
Ingredients:
* 1 oz. bourbon whisky
* 2/3 oz. Peach Liquor
* 1/2 oz. Banana Cream
* 1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
DIRECTIONS:
Add ice to shaker, pour in ingredients. Shake. Rim
whisky tumbler with sugar, fill 1/3 with ice. Pour
drink.
