O'Chang's
interior features dark wood, green trimmings and all
the Irish decorations one would expect of Taichung's
only Irish pub. Located in the Sun Mall on the west side
of the freeway, this pub is a comfortable spot to relax
over food or drinks with friends during the week, but
often heats up on the weekend when bands make frequent
appearances.
The clever name of the establishment is the brainchild
of owner Rachel Chang, who showed the Compass how to whip
up an O'Chang's favorite: Passion All Around. Originally
created by O'Chang's bartender Jay Wu, this drink is fruity,
easy to drink, slightly tart and leaves a vaguely bubblegum-like
aftertaste.
Ingredients:
* 1 oz. Triple Sec
* 1 oz. Passion Fruit Liqueur
* 1 oz. Peach Liqueur
* 1 oz. Malibu liqueur
* 1.5 oz. Pineapple Juice
* 1.5 oz. Orange Juice
* 1.5 oz. Apple Juice
* 3 Slices Lemon
* 1 Marachino Cherry
* 1/4 oz. Grenadine
Directions:
Fill a tall cocktail glass half full with ice. Add the
Triple Sec, passion fruit liqueur, peach liqueur, Malibu,
pineapple juice, orange juice and apple juice. Stir.
Add grenadine. Garnish with lemon slices and cherry. |
