BOURGEOIS
AND BOHEMIAN IS CHIC AND CLASSY
By Pieter Vorster Translated

BoBos
is the commonly used name for a new lounge bar not far from the
Love River, within walking distance of that Kaohsiung landmark,
the Pig & Whistle. The club's full name is Bourgeois & Bohemian
Attitude Lounge, and the owners have spared no effort or expense
to make their establishment stand out.
 |
BoBos
sports a stylish and comfortable lounge arrangement, a well-stocked
bar and a substantial dancefloor. Patrons can enjoy relative
privacy in booths while things are in full swing in the "public" part
of the club. There are fine wines on offer, along with beers
(NT$150), cocktails (from NT$200) and shooters (NT$200).
The kitchen serves basic foods and snacks as accompaniment
to the "cigars and champagne" atmosphere that BoBos
exudes. |
During
the week, when entry costs NT$250, BoBos attracts a young, professional
crowd. Come weekends, their doors open for those seeking chic
excitement and fashionable fun. The weekend entrance fee of NT$350
includes two drinks at the bar. In the three months that they
have been open, BoBos have built up quite a following. There
are regular party nights and you would be well advised to make
reservations, even though they can only keep a table for 30 minutes.
BoBos
is not the cheapest night out in town, but it's well worth
the expense. For further information or reservations, contact
BoBos at the number below. English speakers should ask
for Jones, the manager. |
