| Making
your way down into this basement disco pub, probably the first
thing you'll notice is a gigantic, bold, and somewhat bizarre
picture hanging over the DJ's booth. Continuing on inside, you¡¦ll
find three sections--a bar, a common area, and the partially-enclosed
lounge area. If you come with friends, the lounge area may be
your best bet; if alone, you¡¦ll find yourself drawn to the
bar. |
 |
Inside
AD, you can feel the harmony of luxury and laziness, with falling
drapes and stage-like extravagance. Unhesitatingly trendy, AD's
fiery-red color scheme is more than just a theme, it also reflects
the excitement this place brings to its customers. The spacious
and stress-free environment brings an ambience of freedom and comfort.
 |
The
owner, A-Da, is a quiet man with an exceptional sense for music,
and years of experience as a DJ. Through AD, A-Da wants to give
Tainan's night owls something special. There's no limit on the
type of music played in the house: R&B, hip-hop, lounge,
jazz, Latin, funk, and disco can all be heard here. Customers
can make requests, and in addition to professional DJs, live
bands perform here every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. What's
more, every night is "foreigners' night"--there¡¦s
no charge at the door for foreigners who show their passports. |
Beers
cost NT$120 to NT$150. Food-wise, the Roast Pork Knuckle (NT$280)
comes recommended. After a hard day at the office, AD is the place
for you to unwind under the stimuli of music and alcohol.
