If you've been to Taidong in the past few years, you may well have visited a popular Italian restaurant called Zorba Garden. That Zorba Garden has passed into history, but Jenny--who learned Italian cooking from her Italian ex-husband and his mother--has opened a spacious new establishment with the same name in her hometown, Tainan. Jenny has found that Western customers like her Four Seasons appetizer (NT$220), the Homemade Lasagne (NT$180), and the Prime Fillet Steak (NT$450); while Taiwanese guests prefer the Seafood Spaghetti With Tomato Sauce (NT$180) and the Roasted Lamb Steak With Mint Sauce (NT$450). Each week there is a different special set meal, priced NT$400 to NT$600. All sauces are homemade. Main dishes are available between 11:30 am and 2 pm and 5:30 pm and 9 pm; at other times, sandwiches, appetizers, and some simple Taiwanese meals can be ordered. Zorba Garden has a long drinks menu: coffees and teas (from NT$80), cocktails, plus wine and whisky by the glass. Wireless Internet access is available.
