An absence of decor gives Cheffresh, a new
restaurant on ChangRung Road, a simple, clean look. It looks
like an art gallery where the food could be considered the
'art'. However, it's also likely that Sharon, the owner, and
Philippe, the chef, just want to emphasize how fresh the food
is. All the soups and sauces are made from scratch at the
restaurant, and you can really taste the difference. Their
most popular items are the salads and submarine sandwiches.
Their salads (NT$150) are topped with homemade dressings,
and their subs (NT$70 half, NT$120 whole) are made with wheat
bread, fresh from the bakery. Since Cheffresh is wedged between
Eslite Book Store and Masa Coffee, it's an ideal place for
lunch. However, they serve brunch and dinner too. Brunch is
served on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.. Dinner
starts at 6 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday evenings Philippe
cooks up specials, mainly French and Italian dishes, for NT$200
per plate.
