With decor that is a mixture of earth tones, stainless steel and warm lighting, Aurora, a new vegetarian restaurant on Linsen Road, is incredibly serene and inviting. A small garden in the upstairs dining area adds to the ambiance. If you need a little peace of mind in the afternoon, it's an ideal place to escape to. Their afternoon menu includes sandwiches (NT$80 - NT$90) and pancakes (from NT$80). Avis, the owner, explained that she was raised in a vegetarian household and wanted to open a restaurant that would offer a large variety of foods for vegetarians. And they do. In the evenings they offer ten spaghetti dishes, five gratin dishes, four varieties of pizza (NT$160 per dish, NT$260 for the set meal), and six types of hotpots (NT$260). They also have an extensive selection of teas and coffees. On top of this, their menu includes vinegar drinks for NT$90, which are described in the menu as having various health benefits, including reducing cholesterol and improving the quality your sleep.
