HTainan Tsai serves simple,
inexpensive Taiwanese staples--such as fish-ball soup, white
rice with pork gravy, and vegetable dishes--around the clock.
Food can be ordered by the dish, or in the form of set meals
(usually priced from NT$59 to NT$139, but sometimes cheaper
during promotions). There's nothing here you can't find in
a hundred other eateries around the city, but very few of
those other places are as clean and efficient as Tainan Tsai--or
open at 4:15 in the morning. This new branch is near the JhongHua
Road Carrefour; the long shopfront, brightly-lit interior,
and huge windows make it very easy to find. Tainan Tsai also
has branches at 236, SiMen Road, Section 4, in Tainan City;
and in Kaohsiung City at 796, JianGong Road. --By Steven Crook,
