MiniStar, a place with a catchy and child-like name, is an Italian restaurant. The owner, Bobby, has years of experience teaching dish preparation and restaurant decoration. He opened this restaurant after a trip to Italy with his wife. The Mediterranean-style displays, whimsical and simple, are all the work of the owner. He also painted the Italian seascape painting on the wall. Whole chunks of fresh mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses are used in the dishes. Vegetables are carefully selected. The signature pasta dishes are made with handmade herb noodles, which contain a herb mixture for a firm taste with a light herbal scent. Besides basic red and white sauces, there is also organic tomato, bay leaf, tarragon, and red wine "bell sauce" (NT$180), which has a sweet and sour taste popular with ladies. The organic "tomato pot" (NT$250) is very popular. For an additional NT$50, meal sets come with soup, bread, and a beverage. Come and dine under Southern Europe's blue sky and white bricks! --By Magen Lin, translated by Yvonne Chen
