        Purple Cloud has large picture windows overlooking the nearby hills and valleys. Sunsets are often obscured by cloud, but if you're there in the late afternoon, bring a camera to capture the Technicolor glory in case you're lucky. A rooftop terrace makes a great place for lunch or dinner, and if all you want is a good, strong cup of coffee, that's OK. Service is quick and efficient; there's a parking lot out back. Many of the workers here live in nearby villages or on farms. Chicken, pork, and fish dishes are available for afternoon and evening feasting; most items are priced NT$150 to NT$250. Teas and coffees go for NT$160. Like Rainbow & Story, Purple Cloud can be reached by taxi from Chiayi City (around NT$400) or private transportation (half an hour by car, a little longer by motorcycle).
