VISITOR RATINGS & REVIEWS This
is a good place to try Hakka cuisine, which is famous for its sour,
greasy, and salty flavors. With its brick stove, antique furniture,
and painted umbrellas, the restaurant presents more than 60 authentic
Hakka dishes. Among them, the peanut tofu (NT$80) is handmade from
fresh peanut juice, potato powder, sugar candy, and salt. After
being decocted, the peanut tofu tastes somewhat like Taiwanese ¡§mua
chi.¡¨ The osmanthus plum soup (NT$60) contains dried plums, osmanthus,
preserved prunes, hawthorn, and licorice, and is stewed for two
hours. It not only quenches your thirst, but also makes other dishes
seem less greasy. -- By Ariel Li
