        Unremarkable in appearance, and located between an industrial zone and the small town of Shanshang, Pattaya serves food very much like that enjoyed in Thailand.The menu covers all the staples, including beef, pork and chicken, papaya salad, seafood, fried rice and fried noodles. Most dishes cost around NT$100. This place is best enjoyed by small groups who can order up and share several different items.On weekends Thais from nearby factories make good use of the karaoke machine. Weekdays are much quieter, say the proprietors, but see a trickle of diners, customers collecting take-outs, and foreign laborers hunting for specially imported foodstuffs, spices and other items.-- By Steven Crook
