long-time fixture among Taichung's nightspots. Located at the corner
of Da Ye Road and the Soho Street lane, PJ's Cafe offers indoor and outdoor
seating, regular sports broadcasts, plenty of drinks, and a menu notable
for Tex-Mex food and PJ's pride and joy--the Philly Cheese Steak. |

The Spice Shop caused a stir in Taichung's dining scene when it opened
years ago as the first Indian restaurant outside of Taipei. Indian owner
Fred and his partners have since then expanded to three outlets, including
the re-opened Cacti Indian Restaurant (Cun Zhong St. above), drawing
good regular crowds of Taiwanese and foreign diners with great, authentic
Indian food. |

offers a wide range of dining options, including the 11th-floor buffet-style

Kong-style restaurant. There is also the 12th-floor Catwalk nightclub and
Coffee Shop. The hotel's excellent chefs, together with a variety of regular

performances. The owner, Mr. Lin, is a dedicated connoisseur who ensures
