        When Grace Sun retired last year, she didn't look far for volunteer opportunities. She offered her services in the organic food store at the base of her apartment building, which she credits for greatly enhancing her health over the past decade. To her surprise the owner turned away her offer, saying she shouldn't be a volunteer, but an owner, since he was about to do away with his business. Shortly afterward, Ms. Sun opened her own place, which she urges people to think of as a kind of community wellness center. She says all the fresh and packaged foods she sells are certified organic. At Omni-Organic Paradise, you can buy food to prepare at home or eat to your vegetarian delights at the shop-cum-restaurant.By Jacques Van Wersch
