        I can¡¦t wait to share this newfound treasure--a bookstore focusing on mainland Chinese books. The owner, a bookworm and seasoned publisher, has on display 2,500 books handpicked from more than 85,000 new publications each year. There¡¦s usually only one copy of each book on display. Books range from reproductions of ancient string-bound volumes to those of the 30¡¦s & 40¡¦s, as well as older traditional Chinese tomes. Every one is a treasure. The store is full of volumes for professionals, scholars and bookworms, as well as classical literature and illustrations. Thanks to the low cost of mainland Chinese books and the owner¡¦s goodwill, I felt privileged almost to the point of shamefulness, as it cost me less than NT$700 to buy six absolutely fantastic books.
