IDEE, a vanguard in the creation of the fashion department store, has its IDEE Taipei positioned as the individual department store for female consumers, IDEE-S as a creative shopping space for the younger generation, and IDEE Chiayi as a warm and cozy family shopping space. On May 21, IDEE Taoyuan opened opposite the Taoyuan train station, in that city's central business district. This store's target consumers are up-market couples and young families. Therefore, it stocks a wide range of sophisticated merchandise. In addition, there are several eateries, such as a Cantonese-style teahouse and two Japanese restaurants. During the grand opening period, there are discounts of up to 30 percent on merchandise in the department store. Those purchasing at least NT$2,000 in the department store or NT$1000 in any of the restaurants will be eligible to participate in a drawing for a number of large prizes.--By Carly Chang
