With the golden death mask of an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh greeting you at the front entrance, there is no mistaking that this is a very unique store. Its cultural products are presented as part of exhibitions and educational programs. Currently, the shop is divided into four distinct areas: history, art, design and museums. The history area is focused on ancient Egypt, with popular products including hippo dolls and sarcophagus-shaped pencil boxes from the New York City Museum. In addition, historical information is provided along with the products to give customers an insight into ancient Egyptian life. The art area introduces the Post Impressionist Vincent Van Gogh through his works. The design area introduces the architect Leister Mackintosh, and several sculptors. The products available in this area include clocks, computer peripherals, stationery and home accessories. The museum area is based on the famous British Museum in London, the Guggenheim Museum and the Whitney Museum in New York, the Tokyo National Museum and Taipei's National History Museum. In addition to learning about other cultures, consumers have the satisfaction of knowing that the money they spend here will be used to develop museums all over the world.-by Liao Lu-ching
