The museum is located at the connecting point where the river
meets the ocean in Ba-Li. The building itself is considered
second level ancient remain named Thirteen Hung Ancient Cultural
Remain. The museum itself occupied over 2000 pings out of
total 3600 pings of land. The original concept of this structure
came from the notion of how ancestors across oceans to Taiwan.
The building was built 1.5 meters under the ground on purpose.
Therefore, when you enter the museum, you will go slightly
down to the slope. The design is symbolized as the anthropologists
go underground for their discovery. The first floor is mainly
for the education purposes. The second floor has all the displays
of the ancient products were made, such as pottery, metal,
and smelter. It also displays the trading goods from foreign
countries in the early age and the things people got buried
with from a long time ago. To get here, please take Taipei
Metro to Tamshui first, and then take boat or bus to destination;
or take Metro to Guan-Du, then take bus Red-22; or take Metro
to Peitou and then take bus 632 to destination.
