Formerly the City Hall Exhibition Center, the new-opened Discovery
Center of Taipei is now the ¡§city¡¦s center¡¨ and the ¡§city¡¦s
exhibition¡¨. In addition to tracking the paths of Taipei¡¦s
history and culture, the Center also serves as a resource
for what¡¦s on in the city, and to educate the public about
Taipei¡¦s major infrastructure projects, international ties
and developments. The Image of Taipei Hall is located on the
first floor. The Hall presents through photos and illustrations
what Taipei means to foreigners and locals. The third floor
is the City Discovery Hall, hosting the theme ¡§City Facelift¡¨.
An image dimension constructed using the city¡¦s six major
streets leads visitors to explore Taipei¡¦s development, literature,
cinema, arts, and ecology. The fourth floor is the Dialogue
with Time Hall, with the theme ¡§Taipei - The Old Days¡¨. -
