Not so much a 'What's New', as an "under new management", On Tap is still serving as a small bar with a great personality. With all English ownership, they will be offering Taipei what England does best--the unpretentious local bar. The cozy downstairs provides a friendly evening out while the upstairs is a comfortable space for sports fans. Four new screens and two different satellites will broadcast English Premier League football on the weekend and American football and hockey during the week. A daily happy hour goes from 6 to 9 p.m. --By Claire Tyrrell, translated by Ann Lee

A. One of the new owners, Matt, enjoys a beer at the bar. On Tap offers a good selection of imported draught and bottled beers (NT$150-220), as well as everything required of a well-stocked bar. Cocktails cost NT$199, and include one of the most robust selections of gin you can find for your tonic--including top-notch Hendricks Gin.

B. On Tap adds English flavor with typical pub grub: classic Fish and Chips (NT$180), tasty British Beef Curry (NT$250), and Burgers (NT$200). Imported drinks include English Cider Stowford Press.

Taiwan Fun reminds you to not to drink and drive.
