William Wang has been working in the bartending business long enough to have a few proteges around the nightclubs of Taipei--and there is a good reason. In this issue, Taiwan Fun invited Mr. Wang to introduce one of his easy-to-make, tasty alcoholic beverages. "All kinds of women love to have dessert after a meal, so how about a dessert cocktail?" Wang says. This suggestion is the main inspiration for his creation, called the Jim Beam Sundae. This milkshake-like drink is made with Oreo cookies, chocolate syrup and, of course, Jim Beam (bourbon whiskey) and garnished with some long chocolate cookies (the cookies, called 脆迪酥, are available in convenience stores). You can also try a drink that's popular among American horse racing fans--a Mint Julep (NT$250). It's made with Jim Beam, mint leaves, lemon juice and crushed ice. Its refreshing taste will relax you from head to toe.

Apart from great, smooth music and intriguing live performances, the Living Room also provides a great selection of dishes, including Cherry Original BBQ Ribs (NT$300) and Gambero Fungi Pasta (NT$280).
