What happens when eight artists join forces? Come and check out VT Art Salon to find out. This new bar was the brainchild of eight modern Taiwanese artists after a night of brainstorming. They wanted to create a place where local artists and art lovers could spend time together, sharing experiences and hanging out. VT Art Salon combines an art gallery and lounge bar into one establishment, so that you can appreciate works of modern art while sitting back and relaxing. There is a three-month rotation for new exhibits, all of works by modern Chinese artists from Taiwan and abroad. There is photography, painting and sculpture, as well as short films, animation and much more. Famous DJs gather here every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to play the best jazz, electronic and even rock music, providing full-on audio-visual stimulation. For those who just want to kick back and relax with a few friends, VT Art Salon has a great choice of cocktails, appetizers and main courses. Thursday is Ladies' Night, where ladies get a free drink. Those spending NT$200 or more on Thursday nights can also get a free reading from a tarot expert.
