Just as you get sick of the same old dance spots, another one seems to pop up. Spinning predominantly hip hop and R&B, COR also features guest DJ's and a progressive house DJ from 4 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Saturday nights. Yes, indeed, COR has kicked it up a notch with their infamous "Saturday Sun Session" for the those who won't call it a night until the sun is up. While some after-hours clubs in Taipei are kind of sketchy, COR upholds a bit of class. The single-room setting is intimate, with dozens of red roses, velvet-covered doors -- and loads of couch space. Although closed Sunday though Tuesday, if you can bring enough friends for an NT$20,000 minimum, they will open just for your own private party. Other features include a free bottle of vodka with an NT$3,000 purchase on Wednesdays and Ladies Night on Thursdays with some complimentary bubbly. The normal cover ranges from NT$350-NT$500 and includes 1-2 drinks. Come early or come late, at COR you'll find fresh tunes in a cool, cozy atmosphere along with a dandy prelude to Sunday brunch.
