Dancing
away the evening at one of The Londoner's famed
parties is a great way to build up a sweat. To
cool off that heat, a visit to their big open
patio might do the trick - but Jennifer Chiang
will introduce us to one of the most legendary
beat-the-heat drinks of all time: the Daiquiri.
In Cuba in 1896, an American mining engineer stuck
with hosting a group of VIPs and having run out
of the then ubiquitous gin, concocted this drink
using local rum. The Londoner brings us a frozen,
kiwi-flavoured variation on this summer classic.
INGREDIENTS:
* 1 oz. White Rum
* 1/2 oz. Kiwi Syrup
* 1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
* Ice
DIRECTIONS:
Place ingredients in blender. Run at slow speed
for 5 seconds, then at high speed for 20 seconds.
Pour into chilled glass.
