Overtime Sports Lounge, in the less-than-one-year that
it has been open, has become a home-away-from-home
for many Kaohsiung residents. Its jovial, comfortable
atmosphere and seemingly effortless familiarity
makes it an ideal place to watch sports, enjoy
excellent Western food, a few beers and good company.
Says co-owner, and co-bartender, Ryan: "We
are Canadian owned and operated. Apart from beer,
The Caesar must be Canada's favorite drink. It's
an institution."
The Caesar (NT$150) could almost be an identical twin
of the Bloody Mary, except that it substitutes tomato
juice with Clamato Juice, and has a dash of celery
salt. It's a nutritious and delicious cocktail with
a bit of a bite. An easily acquired taste, it's suitable
for both the night before and the morning after. "If
not the cause of, it's the best hangover cure apart
from surfing," says co-owner Luke. "Back
home people are very particular about their Caesars,
and we take pride in ours. We even make our own Clamato
juice."
