When night falls and The Brass Monkey's sign lights up, a stream of men and women--young and not so young, foreign and local--can be seen going in. The pub's landlord, Max, says hello to each person; it seems like they are old friends, not customers. The Brass Monkey has a harmonious, relaxing atmosphere; the music is classic pop, the service is friendly and helpful service. The pub is divided into three areas. There is the outdoor high-seat area, a main hall where you can watch sports on TV, and a games room where you can play foosball, darts or even chess. The bar has a variety of beers, including Carlsberg (NT$140), Miller (NT$140), Boddingtons (NT$180) and Guinness (NT$220). There also tasty pizza (NT$150 to 200). -- By Josie Wu
