The
Villa (Bar)
By

Translated by Kate Kuo (³¢®ü«Â)
The wooden Villa, although located in the city, makes you
feel forgotten by the world when you are here. Leading to
The Villa is a wooden path and by its side is a pond full
of river rocks. Once there at The Villa, you might feel as
if in a vacation cabin in Bali; oh, what a relaxed feeling!
The interior design of The Villa is quite unique with a spacious
lobby that is divided into different styles. You will be amazed
by everything you see, such as traditional Chinese red wood
chairs, Chinese antique coffee tables, and pirates' treasure
chests used as tables. There are hand-carved screens, contemporary
western-style sofas and other tables and chairs which might
have been transported straight from the abbeys in Italy. Every
corner is scenery. There are even some antique chandeliers
hanging from the ceiling which project the red from the velvet
curtains in the background, creating superior yet romantic
feelings in the air. The second floor is divided into several
private boxes for use by parties.

Of course, you expect to enjoy good food and relaxation
from work when you come here. For food, the Villa features
delicious yet healthy dishes made of fresh vanilla and
the entrees are served until 9:30 pm. Most people, however,
come here to drink. The Villa's signature serving, Test
Tube, contains a large volume at a price of NT$700 per
tube. If you prefer sweet with a bit of sour taste, you
should try vodka and orange juice with your favorite fruit
added. Compassion and Whisky-Sour cocktails are popular
for the ladies, costing only NT$250. Men can't help desiring
to smoke cigars within this wonderful atmosphere. Punch
Punch is perfect for the beginner because it is not too
strong. For the cigar connoisseurs, there are many choices
from Cuba with prices ranging from NT$600 to NT$750. The
Villa also offers great red wines from a variety of well-known
regions. I personally think that experiencing the beauty
of The Villa is best when you are a little bit tipsy.

The Villa mainly plays lounge music and chill-out music. There
are professional DJs to entertain the customers' unique tastes
every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, allowing everyone to
enjoy the good times. Although the nights without DJs seem
to be quiet, you can definitely have a wonderful, relaxing
time. The friendly staff strives to take good care of you,
with smiles so bright that they match the flower shirts they
wear.
