Under new ownership and having undergone a major renovation, O'Ginny's re-opened last month done up in attractive blond wood and brass. In keeping with its upscale image, the music now tends towards jazz and the posters and beer signs have been replaced with black and white photographs. The downstairs area features an impressive Royal Oak pool table. An expanded menu of drinks includes single malt whiskeys (NT$200 and up) and champagnes (NT$250). Beer remains reasonably priced at NT$150 and up, with many Belgian beers added to the list for something a little different. A variety of Western and Chinese dishes are available, from Lasagna to fried rice. To get to O'Ginny's, enter Lane 113 next to the Mercedes-Benz dealership just west of DunHua North Road on MinSheng East Road. Look for the O'Ginny's sign just past the 7-11 and across the park.
