The owner of Taichung's popular Bollywood Indian Restaurants has recently earned himself extra fame as the provider of all the Indian cuisine appearing on-screen in Ang Lee's "Life of Pi", as well as that enjoyed off-screen by cast members. Now he has expanded into the Taipei market to offer authentic, reasonably-priced Indian fare. The extensive menu includes a long list of curry-based main courses (NT$240-380; add NT$50 for naan and rice), from Lamb Korma, Fish Vindaloo, and Shrimp Korma to the creamy coconut-infused Butter Chicken, and Sag Paneer (Indian cheese cooked with fresh pureed spinach and various spices), plus BBQ options like Tandoori Chicken Tikka. Some interesting lighter items include the Tandoori Rolls (NT$180-200), rolled in naan bread, and the Indian-Style Burritos. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Angel Pu
