Head over to Pot Pie Cafe for a sumptuous, authentic English breakfast. With European paintings on the walls, English teas and coffees, and warm lighting, Pot Pie is a nice place to relax and have a drink. The owner, Simon, is only in his late 20s, but already has 10 years of restaurant experience under his belt. He and his two business partners have created their own "wee Britain" and invite everyone to come in and check it out. --By Joan Chang, translated by Ann Lee

A. The traditional Shepherd's Pie is a flaky crust surrounding a mixture of lamb, onions, vegetables and garlic, all marinated in red wine.

B. The Full British Breakfast with coffee (NT$380) includes whole wheat toast, mushrooms, parsley seasoned grilled tomatoes and baked beans with tomato sauce. Also included are bacon and eggs, so you can enjoy a heaping breakfast--British-style. Another recommended dish is Fish and Chips (NT$180), which comes with a sweet and sour dipping sauce; it is good hot or cold.
