Tokyo Kitchen is a Japanese-style restaurant located on the 45th floor of Taipei's Howard Plaza. They offer set meals averaging NT$200 and a panoramic view of the city. This eatery also fuses flavors from around the globe, with a menu that boasts about 80 food items and close to 60 drink options. Although most of the dishes are slightly heavy, the chefs insists on cooking with the healthiest methods, like replacing ingredients like flour with barley sugar, and using grapefruit to soften the meat before cooking it. --By Josie Wu, translated by Ann Lee

A. Tokyo Kitchen's Japanese-style Hamburger Steak has a crispy texture. The slightly spicy Vietnamese Style Shrimp Spring Roll is another tasty choice. The Sauteed Chicken Baked on Rock bowl has a mesmerizing aroma. One highly-recommended dish is the Grilled Pork with Japanese Wine and Butter Grilled Salmon on Rock plate.

B. The decor combines a Japanese He-Feng style sake house with a western cafe interior. Location-wise, it faces the Danshui River and Yangming Mountain and has numerous VIP rooms and seating areas with a view.
