Jahmunah's Jamaican Stop

Jahmunah's patio is a great spot to warm up for a night out with music, food and fresh juices and cocktails. From sorrel drink to banorange juice, classic Planter's Punch with Jamaican rum to the original Green Lizard with Myer's and passion fruit, Jahmunah's offers tropical refreshment like no one else in Taiwan. Over three years ago the O-Brothaz Sound System brought Jamaican music: Reggae, Ska, Soca, Dancehall and Dub to Taiwan. O-Brothaz' Oliver Harley, from Jamaica, and Thierry Cuvillier of Martinique opened Jahmunah's Jamaican Stop to share some of Jamaica's distinctive flavors. The menu features salads, soups, and pies filled with jerk chicken, curry chicken or veggies. Trenchtown Thursdays feature guest chef Amanda from "A Taste of the Caribbean," catering full course set menus from NT$220-250; you can try Curry roti or Jamaican Jerk chicken with sides like mashed pumpkin and organic brown rice. Look for afternoon, outdoor BBQs with a Roots Reggae DJ, and chicken and fish on the grill. --By Charles McHale, translated by Ann Lee
