What exactly is a home bread bar? Lugar, the brightly-lit bakery near Eslite Bookstore attracts passersby with a tempting display of pastries, breads, rolls, and sauces. The display at this "bar" has proven to be a hit among patrons, who are seen lining up at all times during the day. At Lugar, there are three ways to enjoy your bread, order bread with: one of about twenty dipping sauces and spreads (NT$35-70), your choice of stuffing, or an accompanying cup of soup. Lugar offers breads like Ciabatta, soft French, and croissants. Lunch and dinner set meals are available from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and range in price from NT$180 to NT$300. --By Josie Wu, translated by Ann Lee
