Many are familiar with the long lines waiting for barbecue around the intersection of RenAi and GuangFu. Originally a stall, the owner expanded by renting a restaurant space. To change its traditional image, the interior designers created a lounge bar feel, complete with modern outdoor decor and lighting. A. Skewered meats include beef, pork, and lamb (NT$40 each) and are marinated for one whole day and sprinkled with cumin powder and other spices to create a taste that is uniquely of the China borderlands. Beef Short Ribs (NT$80) and Lamb Short Ribs (NT$40) are barbecued to perfection and are deliciously juicy. The Coal Roasted Squid (NT$80) is tender, and it will change the minds of those who think squid is chewy.
B. The interior decor includes Chinese-style flower lamp shades, and the bar's wall of wood and standing lamp create a sense of high modern taste. There is also a carefully designed open cooking space which allows customers to view the entire process without being enveloped in smoke.
