Lavender Garden has an astoundingly peaceful location at the base of TienMu Trail. After the tragic death of his son, owner Mr. Shen came to contemplate the notion of karma and, to help bring about good, he became a vegetarian. Struck by the compassion of people in his time of need, he wanted to share these principles with others. He extends a truly heartfelt welcome and encourages his guests to enjoy not only good vegetarian food, but the garden, the music, and flowing water--all to achieve an overall heart-warming effect. From the menu the Seasonable Vegetable Shrimp Box (NT$180) is enjoyed--a crisp dish served with a wonderfully tangy sauce, bursting with fruity flavour. Thai Style Pasta with Coconut Milk and Shrimp (NT$240) also packs a spicy punch. Rice dishes, pastas (both NT$160-220), salads, pizzas (NT$220) and soups also feature. Savour afternoon tea in the attractive garden, or the wonderful evening atmosphere, in this exceptional setting.
