Athula is a big Sri Lankan man with an even bigger smile. He serves traditional Sri Lankan curry, with spices from home, in a roti wrap with your choice of Mutton, Beef, Chicken, Tuna and Potato, and Vegetarian Chick Pea. Even when the line of people waiting for his delicious roti is blocking traffic on XinDian Road, Athula always greets his customers with a smile. The roti are definitely worth waiting for and watching Athula prepare them is a show in itself. First he rolls out the dough and spins it in the air to make a thin layer before placing it on the hot dome that cooks them. Then he adds a few vegetables and your choice of filling. When things get busy, Athula is dancing between all these operations with expert timing and still greeting and joking with his customers. Next time you're in Bitan, stop by Athula's, right next to the foot bridge.
