Dining---Thai Cafe

|
---By Claire Tyrell Translated by Tre
Gordon
Located in a lane behind the headiness
of ZhongXiao East Road, this place is perfectly situated
for much-needed time-out. The simplicity and calming
music of this small restaurant makes it welcoming for
a relaxing solo meal, or dining with friends. Although
billed as Thai-style, this is a subtle influence more
than the real deal, tempered to the local palette. But
it is certainly a great little place to check out. The
rice main course set includes a light soup, refreshing
salad and dessert, and the vegetable curry is recommended
(NT$168). It was a good selection of vegetables in a
fresh-tasting curry sauce, complemented by a perfectly-spiced
helping of tofu. All meals are thoughtfully presented
and other options include Salt and Pepper Chicken (NT$180),
Pineapple Seafood Bowl (NT$180) and a simple selection
of noodles, including the succulent Stirred Noodles
with Papaya (NT$150). Hot pots are also featured (NT$260-320),
as is a selection of coffees and fruit juices.
