Retired professional basketball players
Leon Chen and Dragon Guo have resurfaced to open Sports
17 Bar, an American-style sports-themed restaurant and
bar. Chen says that the sports trend has just taken
off in Taiwan, and he hopes that his business will be
a place where fans can gather. Altogether, there are
28 big and small LCD TVs as well as three satellite
TVs (there is even one in the men's toilet). The owners
also hope use their delicious meals to attract customers
with different interests. The experienced head chef,
Xin Kun-shan, oversees the creation of exotic dishes
from different countries. Some of these dishes are prepared
Chinese-style to appeal to Taiwanese tastes. Affordable,
tasty entrees include the No.17 Fillet of Pork, Chicken
Quesadillas, and Gorgon Burger. Business lunches are
available. No service charge.
A. No.17 Fillet
of Pork (NT$380) is made with Taiwanese pork, first
fried then roasted. It is served with a specially-made
mushroom sauce to add more flavor to the tender pork
fillet.
B. Watch exciting
coverage of sports events from any corner of this sporty-looking
bar and restaurant. |
