Xiamuni Teppanyaki is the Wang Steak Group's seventh and latest restaurant brand. The decor is blue, red and white, providing a young, vibrant feeling. Every little detail here aims to break the old image of teppanyaki restaurants by generating a modern, lounge-like atmosphere. Another unique feature is the fact that you can opt to to have a female chef prepare your meals for you. As for the menu, there are a total of 10 courses, from the appetizer to dessert and drinks, totalling NT$980. This restaurant is a good choice for a romantic date that won't break your budget. The Beef Soup, delightfully fresh and sweet, is slow cooked for eight hours, with impurities removed in two stages. The Truffles and Mushrooms Salad is a warm dish of pan-fried king oyster mushrooms, button mushrooms and straw mushrooms, mixed with truffles and olive oil. Among main courses, the Brandy Duck Breast is the most popular with its rich aroma and tender, juicy meat. The creative Beef Roll With Four Things contains--literally--four different ingredients. There are a total of six choices offered, including the Matsumoto Pork, French Seafood and French Lamb Chop. --By Josie Wu, translated by Cara Steenstra
